What the research has examined

NAD+ is a coenzyme found in every living cell. Research has examined its role in four areas: energy metabolism in the mitochondria, DNA repair pathways, the sirtuin family of proteins studied in ageing biology, and circadian rhythm regulation. Levels are reported to decline with age. Whether supplementing NAD+ changes outcomes in people is still being studied, and your physician will tell you where the evidence is strong and where it is not.

How an NAD+ protocol works

  1. Book a consultation with an independent DHA-licensed physician (AED 300 deposit, credited to your first order).
  2. The physician reviews your history and, where appropriate, blood work, and decides whether NAD+ is relevant for you and in what form.
  3. If prescribed, your protocol is compounded by a licensed compounding pharmacy and delivered cold-chain, or booked at the partner clinic for IV.
  4. Your physician sets a review date. Protocols are reviewed every 12 weeks and only continue on a renewed prescription.

Questions about NAD+

Do I need a prescription?

Yes. NAD+ in injectable, pen and spray form is a compounded prescription product in the UAE. The IV is a clinical service prescribed and administered at a licensed clinic.

Injection, spray or IV?

They differ in dose, route and convenience. The guide explains what research has examined for each; your physician decides which is appropriate for you.

How often is it taken?

That is set by your physician. Protocols are commonly described in two phases, an initial phase and a maintenance phase, and the guide explains what that means.

Do I need blood tests first?

Not always, but many physicians ask for a baseline panel. Our blood tests can be booked in clinic or at home.

Blood tests
Are there side effects?

Nausea, flushing, dizziness and injection-site irritation have been reported, more often with faster IV infusion. Your physician will go through this with you.

Can I combine it with other protocols?

Only on physician advice. Never start, stop or combine compounds without speaking to your physician.

Where is it made?

Injectable, pen and spray formats are compounded by a licensed UAE compounding pharmacy under a physician's prescription.
